This is the first win and nomination for Ryan McFaul and Amy Schumer for their direction of the episode “12 Angry Men Inside Amy Schumer” from Inside Amy Schumer Season 3.

When in came to variety programming nobody did it better then Amy Schumer and her creative team this season. The episode “12 Angry Men Inside Amy Schumer” was a comedy highlight this past season and the choice to redo this classic play as a sketch could have been a complete disaster but the choices made by McFaul and Schumer were so strong that this became such a special episode. The direction was sharp and clean and never put a foot wrong and while McFaul has been directing this show greatly for two seasons now Schumer showed great promise with her second directing attempt for her series.
