OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani for (“Nikki Beach, or: So Many Ways to Lose”) in “INDUSTRY”
Keira Knightley as Helen Webb for (“A Little Black Dove”) in “BLACK DOVES”
Britt Lower as Helly R. for (“Trojan's Horse”) in “SEVERANCE”
Kim Min-ha as Kim Sunja for (“Chapter Ten”) in “PACHINKO”
Myha'la as Harper Stern for (“Nikki Beach, or: So Many Ways to Lose”) in “INDUSTRY”
Bella Ramsey as Ellie for (“The Path”) in “THE LAST OF US”

AND THE WINNER IS:

MARISA ABELA AS YASMIN KARA-HANANI FOR ("NIKKI BEACH, OR: SO MANY WAYS TO LOST") IN "INDUSTRY"

This is the first win and nomination for Marisa Abela. She won for her performance as Yasmin Kara-Hanani in Industry.

I freely not getting immediately into HBO's Industry during the original airing of it's first two seasons so in giving the chance for the show to work I binged the first two years and loved it much more than I expected to post the first few not so great episodes. Cut to the third season and you have one of the best drama series of the year featuring Marisa Abela's captivating turn from the beginning through end. Whether it was having great romantic chemistry opposite Henry (Kit Harrington), at odds with her previous friend Harper or in dramatic flashback violently arguing with her father is was an impressive season for Abeala.

Truly anyone who knows her for that awful Amy Winehouse film needs to watch this series and see how brilliant an actor she can really be.
