OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard Morris for (“Once Upon a Time in the West”) in "ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING"
Harrison Ford as Dr. Paul Rhoades for ("The Last Thanksgiving") in "SHRINKING"
Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard for (“Working Girls”) in "MID-CENTURY MODERN"
Conrad Ricamora as Rory for ("Burn Bridges") in "HOW TO DIE ALONE"
Michael Urie as Brian for ("In a Lonely Place") in "SHRINKING"
Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie for (“Dad Fight”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”

AND THE WINNER IS:

MICHAEL URIE AS BRIAN FOR ("IN A LONELY PLACE") IN "SHRINKING"

This is the first win and second nomination for Michael Urie. He previously was nominated as part of the ensemble of Ugly Betty (2007). He wins for his performance as Brian on Shrinking.

Michael Urie has been an actor I've been familiar with for about two decades now when I first came to know and appreciate him like most for his scene stealing performance on Ugly Betty. It makes me so happy to award him here for his work on Shrinking a series who Urie began as a recurring character in the first season and clear standout whose part was thankfully expanded and easy standout of an impressive second season.

Urie has such knack for playing flamboyant parts which Brian very much is being compelling at comedy yet what I most appreciate is how he grounds the outlandishness of his part setting it in the necessary reality that makes this show so great to watch. I look forward to Shrinking coming back every year just to experience Urie's great performance and it makes me so happy to award him and that he has received great awards attention for this standout part.
