2015 has been a wild year for cinema and with the massive stinkers I witnessed throughout the 12 months the brilliant feature films I saw really made me reflect more positively on the year then I ever expected to half way through the year. I will start announcing nominees and winners on Monday (February 1st) for 24 days just before Oscars Big Night.
One note I feel I need to make is while I’ve seen so many films (140 in total) there are some clear film events that I just haven’t seen yet and before announcing any of my best of the year I need to announce the films I haven’t seen that from what I have heard I most likely would have considered across many of my categories:
Girlhood, Stray Dog, Taxi, The Forbidden Room, Heart of a Dog, In Jackson Heights, James White, Mustang, Hitchcock/Truffaut, Arabian Nights (Volume 1,2 & 3), Son of Saul & Where to Invade Next are the long list of films I wanted so badly to see but just didn’t.
Now that I’ve got that out of the way I will leave you with the previous four years I’ve posted my awards on this site (also the 19th features my nominees and winners for every year I rewarded the best in film).
