OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A COMEDY SERIES

Michael Patrick King for (“Valerie Gets a New Chapter”), The Comeback
Paul W. Downs for (“Montecito”), Hacks
Alice Seabright for (“Grudge Match”), Margo's Got Money Troubles
Hiro Maurai for (“Welcome to Widow’s Bay”), Widow's Bay
James Ponsoldt for (“Doorman”), Wonder Man

AND THE WINNER IS:

PAUL W. DOWNS FOR ("MONTECITO"), HACKS

This is the third win and twelfth nomination for Paul W. Downs. He previously won for directing Hacks (2021) and producing Hacks (2024). He was also nominated individually for Hacks (2022), producing Broad City (2014-2015) & Hacks (2021-2022, 2025), directing Broad City (2015) & Hacks (2025) and writing Hacks (2022).

When it comes to perfect episodes of television this past year the "Montecito" episode of Hacks is indeed top of the list. The episode was something we as fans had waited desperately for and the whole team involved fully delivered. Downs like all his fellow creatives of the series really directed this episode well especially as it worked through the suggested and real sexual dynamics of the central characters of the series.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Harrison Ford as Dr. Paul Rhoades for ("My Bad") in "SHRINKING"
Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery for (“Kathy Friedman”) in "WONDER MAN"
Ted McGinley as Derek Bishop for (“Dereks' Don't Die”) in "SHRINKING"
Nick Offerman as Jinx Millet for ("Jinxed") in "MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES"
Michael Urie as Brian for ("D-Day") in "SHRINKING"
Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie for (“Game Night”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”

AND THE WINNER IS:

HARRISON FORD AS DR. PAUL ROHADES FOR ("MY BAD") IN "SHRINKING"

This is the first win and third nomination for Harrison Ford. He previously was nominated individually and as part of the ensemble of Shrinking (2025). He wins for his performance as Dr. Paul Rhoades on Shrinking.

Harrison Ford an actor who has not always been appreciated for his acting talents as much as his movie star appeal really has showed throughout all three seasons of Shrinking that he is just as compelling an actor as many of his contemporaries have been praised throughout the majority of his career. Ford on this series just provides a brilliant gravitas to every scene regardless of whether he has to deliver an emotional moment or play a direct comedic line in the most brutally perfect way.

There are many great actors on Shrinking yet Ford is a performer who again in the shows third season showed why his casting has been necessary given his brilliant leading turn.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Erika Alexander as Monica for (“Save the Cat”) in "THE FALL AND RISE OF REGGIE DINKINS"
Janelle James as Ava Coleman for (“Team Building”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Michelle Pfeiffer as Shyanne Millet for ("Flamingoes") in "MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES"
Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard for (“No Homework”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
True Whitaker as Alani Marcus for (“Upstairses”) in "I LOVE L.A."
Jessica Williams as Gaby Evans for (“Happiness Mission”) in "SHRINKING"

AND THE WINNER IS:

MICHELLE PFEIFFER AS SHYANNE MILLET FOR ("FLAMINGOES") IN "MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES"

This is the first win and second nomination for Michelle Pfeiffer. She was previously nominated for The First Lady (2022). She wins for her performance as Shyanne Millet on Margo's Got Money Troubles.

I have been a fan of Michelle Pfeiffer almost my entire life that I am so desperately devoted to Pfeiffer that I have watched a ton of less than exciting projects over the years yet with the release and success of her Margo performance it makes the failures and dedication totally worth it.

Pfeiffer finally works with her screenwriter husband David E. Kelly with him giving her a role that so perfectly shows her strengths as a performer but also gives her the opportunity to shine in ways she has maybe not done so in her career much before. Pfeiffer made her Shyanne into a fully embodied woman that each passing episode of the first season I had a great time watching her nail every disapproving expression, comedic line and expression of warmth central to her character.

Knowing there will be a second year of Margo's Got Money Troubles I am so excited that Pfeiffer has found another wonderful role again and perhaps the best part she's gotten to play in the past decade. Pfeiffer fans do yourself a favourite and tune into her brilliant performance.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani for (“The Commander and the Grey Lady”) in “INDUSTRY”
Carrie Coon as Bertha Russell for (“Who Is In Charge Here?”) in “THE GILDED AGE”
Myha'la Herrold as Harper Stern for (“PayPal of Bukkake”) in “INDUSTRY”
Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn for (“No Name and a New Dream”) in "THE MADISON"
Rhea Seehorn as Carol for (“We Is Us”) in "PLURIBUS"
Emma Thompson as Zoë Boehm for (“Neglected Waters”) in "DOWN CEMETERY ROAD"

AND THE WINNER IS:

RHEA SEEHORN AS CAROL FOR ("WE IS US") IN "PLURIBUS"

This is the second win and fourth nomination for Rhea Seehorn. She previously won for Better Call Saul (2023) and was also nominated for Better Call Saul (2020, 2022). She won for her performance as Carol in Pluribus.

The anticipation was pretty high for Rhea Seehorn and Vince Gilligan returning to work together on a series a couple years after Better Call Saul and with the release of Pluribus last winter it was immediately clear Gilligan and his team gave Seehorn another stunning role to play and she this extremely well so.

Seehorn is so compelling throughout the series as the necessary human element to the sci-fi led series crafting Carol into such a complicated character that audiences comfortably love and hate depending on the scene playing out. In the show's pilot especially Seehorn plays the worry and anxiety about the unerving kindness of a group of strangers that I felt totally compelled and invested in the series so quickly.

Seehorn was really the anchor of the series and now that the show is continuing into a second year I'm happy we will get more of performance from Seehorn as she was that marvellous.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES

Patrick Ball as Dr. Frank Langdon for (“5:00 P.M.”) in "THE PITT"
Chris Chalk as Dick Hallorann for (“Now You See It”) in "IT: WELCOME TO DERRY"
Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho for (“Tall Tales”) in "SLOW HORSES"
Ken Leung as Eric Tao for (“Dear Henry”) in “INDUSTRY”
Tom Pelphrey as Robbie Prendergrast for (“Vagrants”) in "TASK"
Carlos-Manuel Vesga as Manousos for (“La Chica o El Mundo”) in "PLURIBUS"

AND THE WINNER IS:

KEN LEUNG AS ERIC TAO FOR ("DEAR HENRY") IN "INDUSTRY"

This is the first win and second nomination for Ken Leung. Leungwas previously nominated for Industry (2025). He wins for his performance as Eric Tao on Industry.

Industry on HBO is a show which now having found both itself creatively and built an audience like myself who loves it they have been able to push the boundaries creatively in it's most recent seasons which has given it's stars amble opportunities to perform. Ken Leung has always been a reliable character actor in many projects I've seen with his playing of Eric Tao now over the four season arc in which his character will appear has been the greatest work on his career.

In earlier seasons he brought some funny and drama to his scenes as tthe older presence in the Industry spaces yet by the time his arc has come to an end the tole of decisions made by him was beautifully played by Leung. In this send off episode Leung played the martur so well that I got geniunely emotional as Eric fell on the sword for Harper after everything they have been through the series.

With a final season of Industry still to come it would be nice for Eric to appear one final time just cause I will miss Leung's great performance.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Nicole Beharie as Christine Hunter for (“Amari”) in "THE MORNING SHOW"
Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Samira Mohan for ("4:00 P.M.") in "THE PITT"
Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans for ("6:00 P.M.") in "THE PITT"
Audra McDonald as Dorothy Scott for (“My Mind Is Made Up”) in "THE GILDED AGE"
Sepideh Moafi as Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi for (“9.00 P.M.”) in "THE PITT"
Karolina Wydra as Zosia for (“Charm Offensive”) in "PLURIBUS"

AND THE WINNER IS:

SEPIDEH MOAFI AS DR. BARAN AL-HASHIMI FOR ("9.00 P.M.") IN "THE PITT

This is the first win and nomination for Sepideh Moafi. She wins for her performance as Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi on The Pitt.

Even with one of the largest and most compelling ensembles of actors in season 1 it's impressive how the series in it's second season managed to still give space to the already established medical professionals and introduce new ones giving them the same character depth. Sepideh Moafi was the major introduction this year playing Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi the intrim cover for Dr. Robby whose day leading with up makes up the great conflict of the second season.

Moafi from the beginning of the season through till the end was entirely captivating playing this complicated part of an antagonist yet new bright spot we growed to care for as she experienced up and downs like all working in The Pitt. The finale was a particularly great episode for Moafi really summing up her characters arc and showing how the quiet moments and expressions Moafi had played throughout really crafted this new work colleage into a compelling force.

I do hope the series going forward can continue to make space for Dr. Al-Hashimi even though how her story ends is maybe not the most uplifting. Moafi fit in so well with every established ensemble member and is indeed a memorable performance from this entire season.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues for (“Night Out”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Rose Byrne as Sylvia for (“Jeopardy”) in "PLATONIC"
Elle Fanning as Margo Millet for (“The Hungry Ghost”) in "MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES"
Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora for (“Nail in the Coffin”) in “ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING”
Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish for (“Valerie Faces Reality”) in "THE COMEBACK"
Jean Smart as Deborah Vance for (“EGOT”) in "HACKS"

AND THE WINNER IS:

LISA KUDROW AS VALERIE CHERISH FOR ("VALERIE FACES REALITY") IN "THE COMEBACK"

This is the sixth win and seventeenth nomination for Lisa Kudrow. She previously won for The Comeback (2006, 2015), producing The Comeback (2006, 2015) and with the ensemble of Friends (2002). She was previously nominated for Friends (2000-2004), Cougar Town (2010), Scandal (2014), BoJack Horseman (2016) and with the ensemble of Friends (2000-2001, 2003-2004). She wins for her performance again as Valerie Cherish.

The difficult decision this television season deciding which iconic leading comedy actress I would choose to award came down to Valerie or Deborah with again my loyalty to Ms Cherish prevailing through. 10 years later and Kudrow's ability to slip so comfortably back into the shoes of Valerie was a joy to watch each new episode with this more mature Valerie a great conclusion to the characters 20 year arc.

Kudrow managed to out do herself again giving Valerie such pathos yet never losing any of the performances bitting humour which made each new episode brilliant. Even if Kudrow never wins an Emmy for this performance as Jean Smart seems poised to go 5/5 I will certainly be happy that we got a final goodbye to Valerie and consider it one of the great 21st century comedi creations.

Lisa Kudrow has found her second iconic television character that comfortably sits on the same level as Phoebe Buffay in my mind.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams for ("Call Back") in "WONDER MAN"
Ethan Hawke as Lee Raybon for ("Pilot") in "THE LOWDOWN"
Matthew Rhys as Tom Loftis for ("Welcome to Widow’s Bay") in "WIDOW'S BAY"
Tim Robinson as William Ronald "Ron" Trosper for (“Life Goes By Too F**king Fast, It Really Does.”) in "THE CHAIR COMPANY"
Jason Segel as Jimmy Laird for (“The Bodyguard of Sadness”) in "SHRINKING"
Martin Short as Oliver Putnam for (“Nail in the Coffin”) in “ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING”

AND THE WINNER IS:

ETHAN HAWKE AS LEE RAYBON FOR ("PILOT") IN "THE LOWDOWN"

This is the second win and third nomination for Ethan Hawke. He previously won for The Good Lord Bird (2021) and was nominated for Alias (2003). He wins for his performance as Lee Raybon on The Lowdown.

It seems that each new performance from Ethan Hawke shows why he remains one of the best actors currently working yet sadly one of the lesser discussed. With his standout leading turn on The Lowdown Hawke again showed his knack for keeping audiences in suspense of what performance he would deliver.

As Lee Raybon he was a stunning comedic lead nailing the lighter and dramatic moments of the shows narrative doing so with a cool energy that had me thinking of the great movie stars of the past to compare his work to. With the show renewed for a second season I am glad we will get more wonderful stories led by Lee in the future because between this and his Oscar nomination for Blue Moon it's clear Ethan Hawke is on a roll.

Samba Schutte as Koumba Diabaté for (“HDP”) in "PLURIBUS"

AND THE WINNER IS:

ERNEST HARDEN JR. AS LOUIE CLOVERFIELD FOR ("7.00 A.M.") IN "THE PITT"

This is the first win and nomination for Ernest Harden Jr. He wins for his performance as Louie Cloverfield on The Pitt.

Ernest Harden Jr. is such a classic example of victor in this category for me where a series gives an opportunity for a long working character actor to have a brilliant recurring arc on a season that moves you the audience so extremely. Harden who'd appeared on the shows first season returns as Louie a well loved patient in the ER who in his episode appearances delivered a performance so loveable that as his character met his untimely demise at the half way point of the season we the audience felt about Louie as every series character did.

Harden will be missed on the show post his characters death but he'll always be a remembered character from the show for me as the show continues into future seasons. Harden receiving such acclaim for this performance is just a welcome moment for a long working actor like all the best guest stars can be.

Merritt Wever as Monica O'Brien for (“Marriage Is a Gamble”) in "THE GILDED AGE"

AND THE WINNER IS:

MERRITT WEVER AS MONICA O'BRIEN FOR ("MARRIAGE IS A GAMBLE") IN "THE GILDED AGE"

This is the first win and seventh nomination for Merritt Wever. She was previously nominated individually for Nurse Jackie (2011, 2014), Godless (2018), Severance (2025). She was also nominated alongside the ensemble of Nurse Jackie (2012-2013)She wins for her performance as Monica O'Brien on The Gilded Age.

From the moment the Season 3 first look photos were released and we got our first disapproving look for Merritt Wever I knew I was gonna be impressed by her performance and when watching her single episode during the third season Wever as she tends to do did not disappoint. Playing the visiting sister of Carrie Coon's Bertha Russell having both these incredible television actresses interacting together was magnificent.

The Gilded Age always gives space for it's cast to perform and with just a single episode Wever immediately becomes a memorable character from the show and a person who I'd like to see appear again because of how well developed she was and the great dramatic acting that came from Coon and Wever acting together.

It finally feels nice to award Wever a trophy after such great work across a variety of television programmes which many have earned her Emmy Awards, three to be exact.

OUTSTANDING VOICEOVER PERFORMANCE

Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill in "KING OF THE HILL"
Alfred Molina as Marcellus in "REMARKABLE BRIGHT CREATURES"
Trey Parker as Various Characters in "SOUTH PARK"
June Diane Raphael as Fawn in "MATING SEASON"
Patrick Stewart as the voice of Pig Head in "BAIT"

AND THE WINNER IS:

PATRICK STEWART AS THE VOICE OF PIG HEAD IN "BAIT"

This is the first win and fourth nomination for Patrick Stewart. He was previously nominated for The Lion in Winter (2004), Extras (2006) and Hamlet (2010).

Patrick Stewart voicing a Pig Head is sentence one might never imagined themselves writing yet it's true he voiced this part in the great artistic miniseries Bait. Stewart provides such a brilliant voice performance making each line he spoke funnier than the last and most especially as important a strong element to the success of the season as Riz Ahmed's leading performance was.
