OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues for (“Egg Drop”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Elle Fanning as Catherine the Great for (“Fun”) in “THE GREAT”
KaMillion as Mia Knight for (“Something for the Girls”) in “RAP SH!T”
Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale for (“Escape from Shit Mountain”) in “POKER FACE”
Maya Rudolph as Molly Novak for (“Hot Seat”) in “LOOT”
HelĂ©ne Yorke as Brooke Dubek for (“Cary & Brooke Go to an AIDS Play”) in “THE OTHER TWO”

AND THE WINNER IS:

QUINTA BRUNSON AS JANINE TEAGUES FOR ("EGG DROP") IN "ABBOTT ELEMENTARY"

This is the third win and fourth nomination for Quinta Brunson. She previously won for writing and as part of the ensemble of Abbott Elementary (2022), she was also nominated individually for the show. She wins for her performance as Janine Teagues on Abbott Elementary.

Quinta Brunson the creative genius behind Abbott Elementary proved she was just as strong a performer on the show with the first season and managed to impressive even more so during the second year of the show. Brunson and the writing team provided Brunson with such meaty material throughout the season that helped to expand the character trajectory of Janine. During the seasons eight episode "Egg Drop" we got to witness another wacky teaching risk played by Brunson and with her mostly earnest way of playing things led so to comedic gold that I'll not soon forget. I really just continue to fall in love with everything that Brunson does as Janine and while she can mostly play the straight man counterpart she does it so effectively so from episode to episode that I'm fully engaged.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart for (“The End of the Yips”) in “THE GOOD FIGHT”
Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen for (“The Black Queen”) in “HOUSE OF THE DRAGON”
Brandee Evans as Mercedes Woodbine for (“Pussyland”) in “P-VALLEY”
Sharon Horgan as Eva Garvey for (“Explode a Man”) in “BAD SISTERS”
Bella Ramsey as Ellie for (“Left Behind”) in “THE LAST OF US”
Sarah Snook as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy for (“Connor’s Wedding”) in “SUCCESSION”

AND THE WINNER IS:

SARAH SNOOK AS SIOBHAN "SHIV" ROY FOR ("CONNOR'S WEDDING") IN "SUCCESSION

This is the second win and fifth nomination for Sarah Snook. She was previously nominated twice individually and as part of the ensemble of Succession (2020-22), winning with the ensemble in 2020. She wins for her performance as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy on Succession.

I like many was disappointed by the news at the start of the year that this fourth season would be the final season of HBO's Succession. One part that I was disappointed would be ending soon was my weekly experience of Sarah Snook who since the beginning has been an incredible part of the show. Somehow in this last season she managed to out do herself like never before with the material provided to her. Snook has so inhabited this role that she finds so many different notes from the role both comedic or dramatic that it expands my love of her. There were so many stand out moments for the actress during the season with the emotional reaction to the death of Logan Roy in the shows third episode being a standout moment. How believably she delivered the emotion was heartbreaking and an acting height for the career of Sarah Snook.

OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A DRAMA SERIES

Peter Gould for (“Saul Gone”), Better Call Saul
Craig Mazin for (“When You're Lost in the Darkness”), The Last of Us
Melanie Mayron for (“Pussyland”), P-Valley
Mark Mylod for (“Connor's Wedding”), Succession
Lorene Scafaria for (“Honeymoon States”), Succession

AND THE WINNER IS:

CRAIG MAZIN FOR ("WHEN YOU'RE LOST IN THE DARKNESS"), THE LAST OF US

This is the first win and second nomination for Craig Mazin. He was previously nominated for writing Chernobyl (2019).

Going into The Last of Us I admitedly had no attachment to the video game having never played the game before however I still was able to invest in the series based on the quality of this first episode. From the brilliant cold open to the rest of the episode post credits my attention was kept and this episode ended being an incredible hour of television. A lot of the credit has to go to director Mazin who truly made something incredible with the beginning of this series adaptation.

OUTSTANDING WRITING FOR A COMEDY SERIES

Jordan Temple for (“Educator of the Year”), Abbott Elementary
Christopher Storer for (“Review”), The Bear
Tony McNamara for (“You the People”), The Great
Chris Kelly & Sarah Schneider for (“Cary & Brooke Go to an AIDS Play”), The Other Two
Rian Johnson for (“The Night Shift”), Poker Face

AND THE WINNER IS:

CHRIS KELLY & SARAH SCHNEIDER FOR ("CARY & BROOKE GO TO AN AIDS PLAY"), THE OTHER TWO

This is the first wins for Chris Kelly & Sarah Schneider. They have won for their writing on The Other Two. The pair were previously nominated for directing and writing The Other Two.

The Other Two sadly is another example of a TV show which has sadly come to an end far too soon. I have adored the series since the very beginning until the very end. This standout episode of the third season was truly magical. I was in tears from laughing the entire time as the episode continued in the direction of absurdity. Truly I will always think of the show as being great especially with this one episode.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Donald Glover as Earnest "Earn" Marks for (“The Homeliest Little Horse”) in “ATLANTA”
Nicholas Hoult as Peter III / Yemelyan Pugachev for (“Sweden”) in “THE GREAT”
Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage for (“Framed”) in “ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING”
Martin Short as Oliver Putnam for (“The Tell”) in “ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING”
Drew Tarver as Cary Dubek for (“Cary Watches People Watch His Movie”) in “THE OTHER TWO”
Jeremy Allen White as Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto for (“Braciole”) in “THE BEAR”

AND THE WINNER IS:

NICHOLAS HOULT AS PETER III / YEMELYAN PUGACHEV FOR ("SWEDEN") IN "THE GREAT"

This is the first win and third nomination for Nicholas Hoult. He was previously nominated individually for The Great (2020, 2022). He wins for his performances as Peter III & Yemelyan Pugachev on The Great.

In speaking about Nicholas Hoult I can't talk about his work in Season 3 without giving a big

SPOILER ALERT!!!

Now that I've given that what most impressed me most about Hoult this season that even after his Peter died half way during the season his Peter impersonator was a strong enough performance that kept me invested in the season and his work. I will say this season just based on how his multiple characters have now passed feels like the ending of his work on the season so I am so glad to finally award him for his work. Hoult was as always incredibly funny on the show and this season there were multiple moments where his line deliveries were fire, his physicality was brilliant and his differentiation between the characters so strong.

OUTSTANDING WRITING FOR A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Ibra Ake and Stephen Glover for (“Running Scared”), Swarm
Alice Birch for (“One”), Dead Ringers
Joel Kim Booster for Fire Island
Dennis Lehane for (“Pilot”), Black Bird
Lee Sung Jin for (“The Birds Don't Sing, They Screech in Pain”), Beef

AND THE WINNER IS:

LEE SUNG JIN FOR ("THE BIRDS DON'T SING, THEY SCREECH IN PAIN"), BEEF

This is the first win and nomination for Lee Sung Jin.

Beef as a series was so incredibly conceived and a lot of the credit must go to series creator and show writer Lee Sung Jin. The show so perfectly balanced the drama and comedy of any situation of the show and I adored every moment of it. Many of the plot points while they veered into the wildness and unexpectedness was presented so brilliantly so that I was able to keep a focus on what was happening. I look forward to what Lee Sung Jin is gonna do next as his Beef was so brilliant.

OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Olivier Assyas for Irma Vep
Hugo Blick for The English
Sean Durkin for (“One”), Dead Ringers
Stephen Glover for (“Fallin' Through the Cracks”), Swarm
Hikari for (“The Birds Don't Sing, They Screech in Pain”), Beef

AND THE WINNER IS:

SEAN DURKIN FOR ("ONE"), DEAD RINGERS

This is the first win and nomination for Sean Durkin.

Sean Durkin has proven himself multiple times with his film directing credits and with his TV credit this year he has proved yet again why he is so talented bringing his directing style to the screen through the story of these deadly twins. It was going to be a difficult task for any director to follow up the fabulous work of David Cronenberg's 1988 adaptation of the same material, Durkin managed to succeed by creating the show it a different visual universe. The first episode featured many disturbing moments you'd expect from a Dead Ringers related product and it was captured so beautifully so while the direction also captured the brilliant story being told also.

OUTSTANDING REALITY-COMPETITION PROGRAM

Nailed It! (“Slime Time”)
RuPaul’s Drag Race (“Two Queens, One Joke”)
Survivor (“I Can't Wait to See Jeff”)
The Traitor (“The Grand Finale”)
Top Chef (“Restaurant Wars”)

AND THE WINNER IS:

RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE ("TWO QUEENS, ONE JOKE")

This is the fifth win and fifteenth nomination for RuPaul’s Drag Race in this category.

With the amount of Drag Race both US based and international on TV now it sometimes can feel difficult to find joy in watching the series, some may say. Not me though I truly love watching the show and will continue to do it religiously especially after the shows most recent season being so enjoyable. With queens as great as those featured on the season the show is showing that even 15 years in there is still enough to enjoy about the series and keep watching.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Emily Blunt as Lady Cornelia Locke in “THE ENGLISH”
Jessica Chastain as Tammy Wynette in “GEORGE & TAMMY”
Dominique Fishback as Andrea "Dre" Greene in “SWARM”
Kathryn Hahn as Clare Pierce in “TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS”
Rachel Weisz as Beverly and Elliot Mantle in “DEAD RINGERS”
Ali Wong as Amy Lau in “BEEF”

AND THE WINNER IS:

DOMINIQUE FISHBACK AS ANDREA "DRE" GREENE IN "SWARM"

This is the first win and third nomination for Dominique Fishback. She was previously nominated individually for The Deuce (2018) and as part of the ensemble of The Deuce (2019). She won for her performance as Andrea "Dre" Greene on Swarm.

Dominique Fishback has been a performer atop my list of my top actresses for the last couple of years and when I first heard of this Amazon series I was happy to be yet again impressed by this incredible performer. On the show she brings and power and strength unlike I've seen her given the opportunity to play before. She plays violence so effectively through her physicality and stillness that I was fearful of her the entire series. Fishback brings her unique contemporary performance to the role making the performance that much more special. I am so happy Fishback has gotten an opportunity like this role has provided her cause she has proved to those who maybe doubt how incredible an actress she is.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Claire Danes as Rachel in “FLEISHMAN IS IN TROUBLE”
Ambika Mod as Shruti Acharya in “THIS IS GOING TO HURT”
Niecy Nash as Glenda Cleveland in “DAHMER - MONSTER: THE JEFFREY DAHMER STORY”
Adepero Oduye as Karen Wynn In “FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL”
Ashley Park as Naomi in “BEEF”
Heather Alicia Simms as Loretta Greene in "SWARM"

AND THE WINNER IS:

CLAIRE DANES AS RACHEL IN "FLEISHMAN IS IN TROUBLE"

This is the third win and nomination for Claire Danes. She previously won for Temple Grandin (2010) and Homeland (2012). She wins for her performance as Rachel on Fleishman is in Trouble.

Claire Danes has proven yet again she is an actress who should never be overlooked. Danes has succeeded so extremely well with her work as Rachel on Fleishman is in Trouble. The show doesn't introduce you to Danes full potential and power from the beginning of the series and while it takes towards the end of the series for you to experience the powerful Danes it is well worth the wait. Every detail revealed about Rachel is so beautifully played by Danes that I'm so thankful to have experienced the actresses great work. Danes has one of the greatest emotional delivery faces that she really sells the sadness in this character that makes you connect to her.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Lionel Boyce as Marcus for (“Dogs”) in “THE BEAR”
Tituss Burgess as the Narrator for (“Famous as Hell”) in “SCHMIGADOON!”
Brian Tyree Henry as Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles for (“The Most Atlanta”) in “ATLANTA”
Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill for (“Story Samurai”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Josh Segarra as Lance Arroyo for (“Cary & Brooke Go to an AIDS Play”) in “THE OTHER TWO:
Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie for (“Educator of the Year”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”

AND THE WINNER IS:

TYLER JAMES WILLIAMS AS GREGORY EDDIE FOR ("EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR") IN "ABBOTT ELEMENTARY"

This is the second win and nomination for Tyler James Williams. He previously won as part of the ensemble of Abbott Elementary (2022). He wins for his performance as Gregory Eddie on Abbott Elementary.

Abbott Elementary was a show that came out of nowhere with its brilliance during its first season and with the second season the show was able to build on its success and increase so much of its greatness. One performer who I believe grew leagues was Tyler James Williams who made Gregory one of the most compelling characters of the season. There were so many memorable moments of comedy from Williams this season and with this and the great character work he brought to the role made for an incredible performance I loved experiencing each week The standout episode for him "Educator of the Year" saw all the arcs of Williams come to a satisfying end as Gregory showed his growth as a teacher. Williams played this arc so extremely well and know I cannot wait to see what the show and Williams are gonna do next with Gregory.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu for (“Review”) in “THE BEAR”
Jayne Houdyshell as Bunny Folger for (“The Last Day of Bunny Folger”) in “ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING”
Gbemisola Ikumelo as Clance Morgan for (“Find the Gap”) in “A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN”
Janelle James as Ava Coleman for (“Sick Day”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Jane Krakowski (“Bells and Whistles”) in “SCHMIGADOON”
Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard for (“The Fire”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”

AND THE WINNER IS:

SHERYL LEE RALPH AS BARBARA HOWARD FOR ("THE FIRE") IN "ABBOTT ELEMENTARY"

This is the second win and third nomination for Sheryl Lee Ralph. She previously won as part of the ensemble of Abbott Elementary (2022) and was also nominated individually for the same show. She wins for her performance as Barbara Howard on Abbott Elementary.

When Sheryl Lee Ralph won the Emmy award for her work I was so excited but also mildly disappointed that Janelle James who I found superior in the first season didn't end up the major winner. I am happy to say that based on the second season I am able to award Ralph the supporting prize. She was like many of the cast members incredible during the first season and some how given even greater material was amazing. There were so many moments throughout the season that provided an insight to the inner life of Howard that expanded the character in the only the best way. I get so overwhelmed discussing how much I adore the performance of Ralph and am gonna be so happy if she triumphs at this autumn awards season.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Bailey Bass as Claudia for (“…The Ruthless Pursuit of Blood with All a Child's Demanding”) in “INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE”
Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya McQuoid for (“Arrivederci”) in “THE WHITE LOTUS: SICILY”
Anne-Marie Duff as Grace Williams for (“Saving Grace”) in “BAD SISTERS”
Audra McDonald as Liz Lawrence-Reddick for (“The Beginning of the End”) in “THE GOOD FIGHT”
Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler for (“Waterworks”) in “BETTER CALL SAUL”
Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy Waterford for (“Ballet”) in “THE HANDMAID’S TALE”

AND THE WINNER IS:

RHEA SEEHORN AS KIM WEXLER FOR ("WATERWORKS") IN "BETTER CALL SAUL"

This is the first win and third nomination for Rhea Seehorn. She was previously nominated individually for Better Call Saul (2020, 2022). She wins for her performance as Kim Wexler on Better Call Saul.

Similar to Macfadyen who I've just awarded in supporting actor it would felt wrong were I not to award Seehorn at least once for her six seasons long work as Kim Wexler. Seehorn has been pretty incredible all series long with her greatest work coming in the most recent seasons. To focus particularly on the shows final episodes Seehorn played the ending of the Kim and Saul relationship so wonderfully so. This "Waterworks" episode had so many incredible moments for Seehorn to play and with all the great work she'd done to build the character made the devastating moments that much more emotional. Seehorn will always be in high regards for me with her work here as Kim and I'm so glad to finally give her an individual win after all this time.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES

Laz Alonso as Marvin T. "Mother's" Milk / MM for (“Herogasm”) in “THE BOYS”
Claes Bang as John Paul ("JP") Williams for (“Going Rouge ”) in “BAD SISTERS”
Matthew Macfadyen as Tom Wambsgans for (“Tailgate Party”) in “SUCCESSION”
J. Alphonse Nicholson as Lil Murda for (“Savage”) in “P-VALLEY”
Alan Ruck for as Connor Roy for (“Rehearsal”) in “SUCCESSION”
Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon for (“The Black Queen”) in “HOUSE OF THE DRAGON”

AND THE WINNER IS:

MATTHEW MACFADYEN AS TOM WAMBSGANS FOR ("TAILGATE PARTY") IN "SUCCESSION"

This is the second win and sixth nomination for Matthew Macfadyen. He previously won as part of the Succession (2020) ensemble. He was also nominated individually in 2020 & 2022, also with the ensemble of Succession in 2019 & 2022. He wins for his performance as Tom Wambsgans on Succession.

One of the greatest Emmy wins of last year had to be when Matthew Macfadyen was named the best supporting actor for his work in season 3. I was so close to awarding him my supporting trophy next year but I ended up with Park Hae-soo for Squid Game. This year though even with strong competition I was again impressed by the work of Macfadyen's work and would've felt wrong not individually awarding him once throughout the shows run. There were so many moments in this final season were Matthew shone but none more than in his many scenes opposite his on screen wife Sarah Snook. Their fight scene in episode seven was especially brilliant with actors firing out disgusting insults so beautifully so. Matthew has become such an impactful actor with his entire performance as Tom Wambsgans over the shows four seasons.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Rodney Burford as Tony Hughes in “DAHMER - MONSTER: THE JEFFREY DAHMER STORY”
Ray Liotta as James "Big Jim" Keene in “BLACK BIRD”
Young Mazino as Paul Cho in “BEEF”
Conrad Ricamore as Will in “FIRE ISLAND”
Cornelius Smith Jr. as Dr. Bryant King in “FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL”
Bowen Yang as Howie in “FIRE ISLAND”

AND THE WINNER IS:

BOWEN YANG AS HOWIE IN "FIRE ISLAND"

This is the second win and fourth nomination for Bowen Yang. He previously won for Saturday Night Live (2021) and was also nomination for Saturday Night Live (2020, 2022). He wins for his performance as Howie in Fire Island.

Bowen Yang since his debut on Saturday Night Live has been only producing wonderful work and with each other non SNL project he is involved in I always look to him for a good laugh. With Fire Island he was provided his greatest role to date playing a modern gay version of Jane Austen's classic Jane Bennett. Yang performed so many wonderful comedic beats as well strong dramatic ones that made me appreciate his work even more. It is so exciting to see Yang performing like he does in Fire Island because I hope that he will only continue to be provided diverse roles to play because he has ability to perform in many different modes.

OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Joel Kim Booster as Noah in “FIRE ISLAND”
Taron Egerton as James "Jimmy" Keene Jr. in “BLACK BIRD”
Michael Shannon as George Jones in “GEORGE & TAMMY”
Chaske Spencer as Sgt. Eli Whipp / Wounded Wolf in “THE ENGLISH”
Ben Whishaw as Adam Kay in “THIS IS GOING TO HURT”
Steven Yeun as Danny Cho in “BEEF”

AND THE WINNER IS:

STEVEN YEUN AS DANNY CHO IN "BEEF"

This is the first win and nomination for Steven Yeun. He wins for his performance as Danny Cho on Beef.

Beef isn't Steven Yeun's first time with a major role on a TV series as many are aware of his role as Glenn for seasons on The Walking Dead. Yeun's career has a meteoric rise since leaving Walking Dead and now with this major return in Beef he has nailed it yet again. He plays this complex role so beautifully succeeded in everything he is tasked to play as Danny. Whether it's devastatingly crying in a church like in the above scene, loudly telling through the road rage scenes or running away from danger I am impressed so incredibly so. Yeun was given so much space to perform that it showed many elements of Yeuns abilities he's not been able to play before and I enjoyed it all.

OUTSTANDING GUEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES

Murray Bartlett as Frank for (“Long Long Time”) in “THE LAST OF US”
Alan Cumming as Eli Gold for (“The End of Eli Gold”) in “THE GOOD FIGHT”
Tony Dalton as Lalo Salamanca for (“Point and Shoot”) in “BETTER CALL SAUL”
Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed for (“Mou Mou”) in “THE CROWN”
Giacarlo Esposito as Stan Edgar for (“Glorious Five-Year Plan”) in “THE BOYS”
Nick Offerman as Bill for (“Long Long Time”) in “THE LAST OS US”

AND THE WINNER IS:

NICK OFFERMAN AS BILL FOR ("LONG LONG TIME") IN "THE LAST OF US"

This is the second win and twelfth nomination for Nick Offerman. He was previously nominated individually for Parks and Recreation (2010-13, 15) and with the ensemble in 2010, 12-13, 15. He won with the ensemble of Parks in 2011 and was also nominated individually for Fargo (2016). He wins for his performance as Bill on The Last of Us.

It is difficult to only award one of Offerman or Bartlett because their work is so intertwined together but for the sake of making a decision I chose to award Offerman as i've not awarded him individually yet during the history of my TV awards with Bartlett having just won an award from me for The White Lotus last year. The two men are so wonderful together during their "Long Long Time" episode, it is truly an all timer episode of television and a lot of the credit has to go to the two men for how wonderfully they build their connection leading to such a devastating episode of television. Speaking specifically on Offerman this was such a detour acting performance as I really have only known him for comedy prior so I was so thankful to see a risk taken with his casting and him be so effective as Bill. It truly warms my heart to think of this episode and the performance by these two men.

OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL MUSIC AND LYRICS

“Look At Us Now (Honeycomb)”, Daisy Jones And The Six (Music and Lyrics Blake Mills & Marcus Mumford)
“Your Personal Trash Man”, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Music and Lyrics by Curtis Moore & Thomas Mizer)
“Wigloose: The Rusical!”, RuPaul’s Drag Race (Music by Brett "Leland" McLaughlin; Lyrics by Tom Campbell, John Polly & Michael Seligman)
“Big Boys”, Saturday Night Live (Music by Eli Brueggemann & Jake Procanik; Lyrics by Vannessa Jackson, Punkie Johnson & Streeter Seidell)
“Talk to Daddy”, Schmigadoon! (Music and Lyrics by Cinco Paul)

AND THE WINNER IS:

"TALK TO DADDY", SCHMIGADOON! (MUSIC AND LYRICS BY CINCO PAUL)

This is the first win and second nomination for Cinco Paul. He was previously nominated for composing the song "Tribulations" for Schmigadoon! (2022).

While I enjoyed the first year of Schmigadoon it was this second season which due to some stronger story telling and even better song writing that I without a doubt loved. The Talk to Daddy sequence was an especially great moment for the series referencing many of my favourite musical moments from musical past. The lyrics when matched with the infectious music was especially great for me and I for one cannot think of a better original song from this past TV season that Talk to Daddy.

OUTSTANDING GUEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

James Caverly as Theo Dimas for (“Flipping the Pieces”) in “ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING”
Orlando Jones as Martin Eddie for (“Fight”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Tim Meadows as Michael Graves for (“Exit Stage Death”) in “POKER FACE”
Nick Nolte as Arthur Liptin for (“The Orpheus Syndrome”) in “POKER FACE”
Leslie Odom Jr. as Draemond Winding for (“Attack Ad”) in “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”
Adam Scott as John Novak for (“The Philanthropic Humanitarian Awards”) in “LOOT”

AND THE WINNER IS:

LESLIE ODOM JR. AS DRAEMOND WINDING FOR ("ATTACK AD") IN "ABBOTT ELEMENTARY"

This is the second win and nomination for Leslie Odom Jr. He also won this year for his voiceover work on Central Park (2023). He wins for his performance as Draemond Winding on Abbott Elementary.

When I heard Leslie Odom Jr. was gonna show up on Abbott Elementary I was excited because I know look forward to when a new cast member is announced to join the show. He had multiple appearances during this second season and each time it was a delight as he played a devilish man seeking to take down the Abbott Elementary we all adore. In his first episode as showcased in the above clip he moves through so comfortably so and was a delight as he so easily revealed his dastardly plan. While his arc did sort've come to an end by the seasons end I would welcome Odom Jr. to show back up on the show because he brings another new note to the series that I surely would welcome as this show continues for years.

OUTSTANDING GUEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Hiam Abbass as Marcia Roy for (“Honeymoon States”) in “SUCCESSION”
Christine Hakim as Ratna Pertiwi for (“Infected”) in “THE LAST OF US”
Nico Parker as Sarah Miller for (“When You're Lost in the Darkness”) in “THE LAST OF US”
Ella Purnell as Jackie for (“Friends, Romans, Countrymen”) in “YELLOWJACKETS”
Fiona Shaw as Maarva Andor for (“Announcement”) in “ANDOR”
Megan Thee Stallion as Tina Snow for (“Snow”) in “P-VALLEY”

AND THE WINNER IS:

CHRISTINE HAKIM AS RATNA PERTIWI FOR ("INFECTED") IN "THE LAST OF US"

This is the first win and nomination for Christine Hakim. She wins for her performance as Ratna Pertiwi on The Last of Us.

When it comes to guest actresses this year the difficult choice came down to which actress from The Last of Us I was gonna choose. The way the show was set up each episode acts as a perfect showcase for a performer to show up for one episode and dominate. Christine Hakim was one of the earlier stars of the season for me, her whole performance was featured in the second episode prologue and she was so marvellous the whole of her screen time. The stillness and strength in her work is what made her such an effective presence and part of the reason I fell in love with the show. I'm fairly certain she'll never show up on the show again but it was a brilliant performance by Hakim that I'll not soon forget.
