The Pitt ensemble is so full of great actors both those known before the series, related to already established performers or just long working actors finally given the opportunity to shine to create such a reliable cast of actors it was a joy to watch each and every week. The cast was sop impressive I wouldn't be able to list a fave as I adore each and every member of the impressive ensemble and look forward to following along with their characters stories for years to come.

This is the first win and nomination for Marisa Abela. She won for her performance as Yasmin Kara-Hanani in Industry.

I freely not getting immediately into HBO's Industry during the original airing of it's first two seasons so in giving the chance for the show to work I binged the first two years and loved it much more than I expected to post the first few not so great episodes. Cut to the third season and you have one of the best drama series of the year featuring Marisa Abela's captivating turn from the beginning through end. Whether it was having great romantic chemistry opposite Henry (Kit Harrington), at odds with her previous friend Harper or in dramatic flashback violently arguing with her father is was an impressive season for Abeala.

Truly anyone who knows her for that awful Amy Winehouse film needs to watch this series and see how brilliant an actor she can really be.

This is the first win and third nomination for Jacob Anderson. He was previously nominated as part of the ensemble of Game of Thrones (2014-15). He wins for his performance as Louis de Pointe du Lac on Interview with the Vampire.

Jacob Anderson for such a long time in my mind has been Greyworm on Game of Thrones one of the series many ensemble members who while not provided with the strongest of acting material has stayed with me visually which is why witnessing both seasons of Interview with the Vampire has been incredible as Anderson a charismatic performer has been gifted a part which fully shows his thrilling range.

While I did not nominate Anderson for his great work in the first season as the second season aired last summer and stayed in my mind this past year his even greater work this season was the easy winning choice for me. His Louis whether desperately proclaiming his love, fighting for his life in a theatrical vampire trial or forced to some sort of coffin captivity showed himself a miraculous screen performer and the only right choice for me to make in this stacked category. His characters emotional breakdown in the seasons fifth episode was an especially compelling moment for Anderson and an example that rightfully won him this award.

ADOLESCENCE

With this win Adolescence wins three prizes from ten nominations. The series won also won Leading Actor (Grahame) and Directing. It was also nominated for Supporting Actor (Cooper), Supporting Actor (Walters), Supporting Actress (Doherty), Writing, Casting, Cinematography and Editing.

As soon as I pressed play and worked my way quickly through the miraculous four chapters of Adolescence I knew that I was watching a pretty brilliant piece of art. Truly the series becoming a sensation makes absolute sense given the shows incredible production both from a writing perspective and an emotional level. All involved were truly contributing their best work and seemingly will be awarded many times throughout the next couple of months including this major win from me.

This is the first win and nomination for Lola Petticrew. They win for their performance as Dolours Price in Say Nothing.

Ambika had already delivered a breath taking performance as the gentle but ultimately tragic Shruti Acharya last year that who was to know she'd follow it up almost immediately with an even more impressive work as the delightful yet challenging Emma Morley in the Netflix series adaptation of the great novel of the same name. Having only been familiar with the One Day story from the rather unimpressive movie from a decade ago I was unprepared for how riviting this series adaptation would be mostly due to the great power of its central acting couple.

Mod I found especially brilliant able to play the flaws of her character yet never have you the audience not be entirely in love with her. Mod with this two brilliant breakthrough performances looks to be in for a brilliant career in the future. So far she has showcased a dramatic range any actress her age would be lucky to showcase. I for one look forward to the next project starring her.

This is the first win and fifth nomination for Stephen Graham. He was previously nominated as part of the ensemble of Boardwalk Empire (2012, 14-15). He was also nominated for this year for writing Adolescence (2025). He wins for his performance as the Eddie Miller on Adolescence.

Stephen Grahame personally for me has always been reminiscent of the character actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood film making where I've seen him in a lot of productions where I always know his face yet his name is one i've grown to know because of how reliable he has always been. With Adolescence Grahame a legend of the British film/tv industry has made the strongest impact of his entire career starring and co-creating a series which is so exceptional everyone involved is beyond brilliant.

Grahame in the series plays one of the devastated parents of the series central family with each chapter revealing something new about this man and giving Grahame the greatest acting opportunity of his career till this point. He was genuinely heartbreaking in the series final chapter and given how the series has exploded internationally I'm just so thankful he has reached the masses where more individuals will appreciate his true greatness.

JESSICA LEE GAGNÉ FOR ("CHIKHAI BARDO"), SEVERANCE

This is the second win and third nomination for Jessica Lee Gagné. Gagné won this year also for her cinematography work on Severance (2025). She was previously nominated for the same craft three years ago for Severance also.

Jessica Lee Gagné stepping up into the directors chair this season was such a pleasure as her stand alone seventh episode was truly the directing triumph of the whole season for me. So many memorable shots with a better understanding of the mysterious Gemma being central to the episodes entire success. I am to remember a lot of Jessica's particular direction for years to come I must say given how stand out the episode proved.
