This is the third win and sixth nomination for Bojack Horseman in this category.
I'm really gonna miss yearly watching Bojack Horseman. It's been one of the best shows on tv for years now and I'm thankful it really stuck the landing in the most perfect of ways.
Paget Brewster as Paige Sinclair for "BOJACK HORSEMAN"
John Roberts as Linda Belcher for "BOB'S BURGERS"
Alba Rohrwacher as Narrator for "MY BRILLIANT FRIEND"
Justin Roilland as Rick Sanchez & Morty Smith for "RICK AND MORTY"
Maya Rudolph as Connie the Hormone Monstress for "BIG MOUTH"
AND THE WINNER IS:
PAGET BREWSTER AS PAIGE SINCLAIR FOR "BOJACK HORSEMAN"
This is the first win and nomination for Paget Brewster.
When you are playing a combination of Katharine Hepburn in Philadelphia Story and Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday I'm invested. Brewster really burst out in the final season of BoJack playing this one character I found constantly entertaining.
These are the first wins for Padma Lakshmi & Tom Coliccho. Padma was also nominated last year in this category.
The all stars season of Top Chef was the best the show has been in a while and of my limited reality show viewing it had the best season for reality-competition so deserves all awards related to it's genre.
Hélène Louvart for (“The Kiss”), My Brilliant Friend
Gregory Middleton for (“This Extraordinary Being”), Watchmen
AND THE WINNER IS:
GREGORY MIDDLETON FOR ("THIS EXTRAORDINARY BEING"), WATCHMEN
This is the first win and nomination for Gregory Middleton. He has won for his cinematography for Watchmen.
The television adaptation of Watchmen was simply one of the best things to air on TV during this past season. Only being 9 episodes long there was no wasted minute of screen time and for me the standout hour for the show was it's departure flashback episode where rather than following Sister Night the episode flashed back to giving the origin story of the Hooded Justice played by Joven Adepo (inspired Emmy nomination). The episode entirely shot in black and white is gorgeous. I remember I was a bit late to watching the episode initially and hearing so many praising the episode I can say I was not disappointed by the excellence featured. The above clip is one of many examples in which Middleton captured the show so wonderfully.
Welcome yet again to my rundown of what I consider to be the best in television of the year. This time it's for the 2019-2020 TV season. I watch and love a lot of tv so my nominees usually cover a variety of different shows. With being stuck home for the final 3 months of this season I managed to catch up some shows which I hadn't had the time for prior. I will be starting to announce nominees and winners in all categories daily leading up to the actual Primetime Emmy Awards which this year will air on September 20th. I will start tomorrow with "Outstanding Cinematography for a Series, Miniseries or Movie".
