OUTSTANDING CINEMATOGRAPHY FOR A SERIES, MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Marshall Adams for (“Bagman”), Better Call Saul
Ava Berkofsky for (“Lowkey Thankful”), Insecure
Erik Messerschmidt for (“Episode 5”), Mindhunter
Hélène Louvart for (“The Kiss”), My Brilliant Friend
Gregory Middleton for (“This Extraordinary Being”), Watchmen

AND THE WINNER IS:

GREGORY MIDDLETON FOR ("THIS EXTRAORDINARY BEING"), WATCHMEN

This is the first win and nomination for Gregory Middleton. He has won for his cinematography for Watchmen.

The television adaptation of Watchmen was simply one of the best things to air on TV during this past season. Only being 9 episodes long there was no wasted minute of screen time and for me the standout hour for the show was it's departure flashback episode where rather than following Sister Night the episode flashed back to giving the origin story of the Hooded Justice played by Joven Adepo (inspired Emmy nomination). The episode entirely shot in black and white is gorgeous. I remember I was a bit late to watching the episode initially and hearing so many praising the episode I can say I was not disappointed by the excellence featured. The above clip is one of many examples in which Middleton captured the show so wonderfully.
