JESSE ARMSTRONG FOR ("CONNOR'S WEDDING"), SUCCESSION
This is the second consecutive win and nomination for Jesse Armstrong.
As soon as this third episode of the final Succession season ended I knew that the episode would be a strong contender for the best writing of this past season. This episode came out of nowhere for many fans of the show feeling very similar to an episode like "The Body" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. What makes the episode so impactful is how real the entire episode feels and that is what makes the shocking death so heartbreaking is how it upends the entirety of the series and you do not know where the show is gonna go next. Armstrong really wrote an incredible episode like many he wrote for the show.
