DONALD GLOVER FOR ("THE GOOF WHO SAT BY THE DOOR"), ATLANTA
This is the second win and eight nomination for Donald Glover. He previously won individually for Atlanta (2018). He was also nominated individually for Atlanta (2017), directing Atlanta (2017-18) and with the ensemble of Community (2010-2012).
I had to figure out a way to award the last season of Atlanta and truly I could not think any further than awarding the direction of this particular episode. I talked about how much I loved in the episode when awarding it my editing prize.Truly Glover nailed it one final time for the show and more than earned this comedy direction trophy.
