OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Kerry Bishé as Donna Clark for (“Ten of Swords”) in “HALT AND CATCH FIRE”
Mackenzie Davis as Cameron Howe for (“Goodwill”) in “HALT AND CATCH FIRE”
Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri for (“God, I’m Tired”) in “KILLING EVE”
Tatiana Maslany as for (“One Fettered Slave”) in “ORPHAN BLACK”
Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne/Offred for (“The Last Ceremony”) in “THE HANDMAID’S TALE”
Keri Russell as Elizabeth Jennings for (“The Summit”) in “THE AMERICANS”

AND THE WINNER IS:

KERI RUSSELL AS ELIZABETH JENNINGS FOR (“THE SUMMIT”) IN “THE AMERICANS”

This is the first win and seventh nomination for Keri Russell. She was previously nominated for Felicity (2000) & The Americans (2013-2014, 2016-2017). She was also nominated with the ensemble of The Americans (2014).
Rhys was great but Russell was even better if possible. She was stunning during the series run and especially in this final season. Every episode I was impressed by how Russell handled her arc starting as the one who had no problem with her missions and while affected by family matters like Philip she continued to serve her country. While in the end, Elizabeth did realize she went too far in serving her country it displays how well Russell played this arc and how great she was. This isn't Russell's first television show and while many might relate her more to Felicity I will forever treasure her on The Americans.
