AND THE WINNER IS:
ANDRENE WARD-HAMMOND AS SHARON FOR ("FIELD TRIP") IN "ENGLISH TEACHER"
This is the first win and nomination for Andrene Ward-Hammond. She wins for her performance as Sharon on English Teacher.
There's nothing more exciting then watching a new season of television and being genuinely blown away by an actor whose part is so well performed they instantly become a character you adore and becomes part of your obsession. As was the case with Andrene Ward-Hammond's performance as Sharon on the first season of English Teacher. She only appeared in small dozes in two of the mid-season episodes but her commitment to the direct comedy of her dialogue and appealing charisma made this trophy for me decided on over a year ago when her episodes first aired.
Her appearence in the fifth episode "Field Trip" was especially entertaining with the wild sexual acts she discussed making me belly laugh so hard she stole every scene like any guest actor should. She appeared in an even smaller scene in the following episode and I was so excited just for her repearence. Even if the show does not continue I'm happy to discover a new great comedic performer in Andrene and will look forward to what she does next.
