OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

Michael Haneke for Amour

Rian Johnson for Looper

Wes Anderson for Moonrise Kingdom

Martin McDonaugh for Seven Psychopaths

Mark Boal for Zero Dark Thirty

AND THE WINNER IS…..

MARK BOAL FOR ZERO DARK THIRTY

Last Year’s Winner: Annie Momolo and Kristen Wiig for Bridesmaids

From it’s depiction of true events to it’s depiction of the inner mind of this women who spent most of her life focused on this one man. I disagreed a lot with Mark Boal winning the oscar three years ago but this year it makes me sad that he has no chance of winning for a script that is much better in vision and as a completed piece. From a women’s point of view written by a man is hard but Boal did such a brilliant job with this script. This is his first win and nomination in this category. Boals win makes it three wins for Zero Dark Thirty so far in my awards.
