Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln in “LINCOLN”

Nicole Kidman as Charlotte Bess in “THE PAPERBOY”

Diane Kruger as Marie-Anoinette, Queen of France in “FAREWELL, MY QUEEN”

Brit Marling as Maggie in “SOUND OF MY VOICE”

Lourraine Toussaint as Ruth in “MIDDLE OF NOWHERE”

AND THE WINNER IS…..

SALLY FIELD AS MARY TODD LINCOLN IN “LINCOLN”

Last Year’s Winner: Carey Mulligan as Sissy in “SHAME”

This is the first win for Sally Field on her first nomination for her performance in Lincoln.

Sally Field is such a great actress but for the past decade most of her focus has been on television and her triumphant return to the big screen came in playing the greatly written Mary Todd Lincoln in every scene opposite the great Daniel Day-Lewis she held herself high being able to match him at every point and working with him really showed a new side to her acting that made her even better in this film that even though her screen was smaller then I expected she made the most of out every scene that I feel in love with Field’s film work once again.
