MASTER OF NONE

This is the first win and second nomination for Master of None. It was previously nominated for series last year.

The definition of what is a comedy series is changing each year and as the traditional network comedies feel increasingly old and out of fashion everybody is looking towards the streaming service dramedies or comedies that are full of art. The latter is similar to what I consider the best comedy of the year. Master of None a great first season show grew into an all time tv staple after it's second season. Inspired a lot of early italian cinema we see a lot of believable romance featured throughout the season. The smart comedy of the show was great to behold this season but I appreciate this season for the risks it took from episode to episode. I felt like I was watching a different show and the same show each week. That's a genius move and I give credit to Aziz and his entire team.

Master of None received four wins from eight nominations. The show won comedy series, actor, directing and writing. It was also nominated for directing, guest actress in a comedy series, editing and cinematography.
