OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES

Scoot McNairy as Gordon Clark For ("Flipping the Switch") in "HALT AND CATCH FIRE"
Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman for ("Expenses") in "BETTER CALL SAUL"
Matthew Rhys as Philip Jennings for ("Crossbreed") in "THE AMERICANS"
Dan Stevens as David Haller for ("Chapter 1") in "LEGION"
Justin Theroux as Kevin Garvey for ("The Most Powerful Man in the World (and His Identical Twin Brother)") in "THE LEFTOVERS"
Aden Young as Daniel Holden for ("Happy Unburdening") in "RECTIFY"

AND THE WINNER IS:

ADEN YOUNG AS DANIEL HOLDEN FOR ("HAPPY UNBURDENING") IN "RECTIFY"

This is the second consecutive win and fourth nomination for Aden Young. He was individually nominated and along with the ensemble of Rectify (2015-2016).

Daniel Holden is arguable the most challenging tv lead to ever be on television and Aden Young's dedication for it's run has been something to behold. His quiet and careful performance is something I do not expect to see again as it was such a unique performance and role that Young just shone in. While he was mostly quiet portraying this character seeing the struggle of whether or not to embrace his other side was an acting lesson in restraint that many actors should follow. He was both strong and weak at the flip of a coin and I'm mesmerized by his performance and thankful the series and him get the proper sendoff (if only more people watched I'd be happier.)
