OUTSTANDING GUEST ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Gillian Anderson as Joanna Elisabeth of Holstein-Gottorp for (“Five Days”) in “THE GREAT’
Michelle Gomez as Miranda Croft for (“Blue Sincerely Reunion”) in “THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT”
Ava Grey as Lorraine for (“New Jazz”) in “ATLANTA”
Jane Krakowski as The Countess for (“Tribulation”) in “SCHMIGADOON’”
Sharon Stone as Lisa Bowden for (“Brothers & Sisters”) in “THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT”
Harriet Walter as Deborah for (“The Signal”) in “TED LASSO”

AND THE WINNER IS:

SHARON STONE AS LISA BOWDEN FOR ("BROTHERS & SISTERS") IN "THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT"

This is the first win and second nomination for Sharon Stone. She was previously nominated for The Practice (2004). She wins for her performance as Lisa Bowden on The Flight Attendant.

For the majority of this season I was sure Gillian Anderson would be winning this prize because of how great she was, however basically in the last few weeks of eligibility Stone showed up on The Flight Attendant and Anderson became usurped for my win here. I had remembered that Stone was cast on this season but that news in no way prepared me for what Stone was going to give when she showed up on the sixth episode of the eight episode long season. Stone's performance admitedly wasn't that comedic but it none the less was still an impactful turn. Her power acting opposite her on screen children was so overwhelming that when her big moment came I was blown away. Stone has always been a capable actress but in the one moment in the sixth episode where she tells her daughter "She doesn't like her" followed by a slap was excellently delivered by Stone.
I was so thankful for this turn by Sharon which led to me wanting to award her for this sole performance and her career as a whole.
