Last Year’s Winner: Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer for (“Tears”) in “VEEP”
This is the second win for Laura Dern on her second nomination for her work on Enlightened.
Like most viewers there was alot of problems about the first season of Enlghtened but once the second season started airing I was shocked about how much I loved it and one of the best elements was Dern’s performance all season long and especially in the series finale. While it’s not the most comedic performance nominated it is the best performance and especially in the triumpth moment when Amy finally fights back was so well played by Dern she was really my only choice for the win and sad as I am to see the show over Dern should be proud of the great note she left on in her performance.
