Mike White for (“The Ghost is Seen”), Enlightened

Lena Dunham for (“It’s a Shame About Ray”), Girls

Louis C.K. for (“Late Show Part 3”), Louie

Elizabeth Meriwether for (“Virgins”), New Girl

AND THE WINNER IS:

MIKE WHITE FOR ("THE GHOST IS SEEN"), ENGLIGHTENED

Last Year’s Winner: Lena Dunham for (“All Adventurous Women Do”), Girls

This is the first win for Mike White on his first writing nomination for his work on Enlightened.

What didn’t work for me about the first season of Enlightened was such a delight that I feel in love with the second season as much as most people did. The best written episode of that near perfect second season was the episode that took the different approach of focusing on Mike White’s character Tyler and his views on this very special Amy world. The writing was delightful and was near poetry in every word of the episode especially in the segments involving Molly Shannon and Mike White making for such a greatly written episode that is was sad for the departure of this show.
