OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES

Gillian Anderson as Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier for ("Antipasto") in "HANNIBAL"
Edie Falco as Sylvia for ("Episode 10") in "HORACE AND PETE"
Regina King as Erika Murphy for ("Lens") in "THE LEFTOVERS"
Taryn Manning as Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett for ("A Tittin' and a Hairin'") in "ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK"
Abigail Spencer as Amantha Holden for ("Thrill Ride") in "RECITFY"
Alison Wright as Martha Hanson for ("The Rat") in "THE AMERICANS"

AND THE WINNER IS:

REGINA KING AS FOR ("LENS") IN "THE LEFTOVERS"

This is the first win and fifth nomination for Regina King. She was previously nominated for Southland (2012), American Crime (2016) and alongside the ensemble of Southland (2012-2013).

Regina King has been in so many projects across all forms of media at this point and been at least watchable in all them that at this poing it's not a surprise when she is a marvel. King however brought so much energy to Leftovers season 2 that I almost can't imagine a show without her. King especially in the episode "Lens" was the emotional epicenter of the show and King pushed herself more then I think I've ever seen her which is saying something. The scene that I especially look to for King's best moment is the  scene shared between Nora and Erika. The scene is an interview scene between the two women as the camera cuts back and forth between extreme closeups of the two actresses and just seeing the emotions build in King's face is a masterclass in acting at it's highest.
