OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Paapa Essiedu as Kwame in “I MAY DESTROY YOU”
Callem Scott Howells as Colin "Gladys Pugh" Morris-Jones in “IT’S A SIN”
Joshua Caleb Johnson as Henry "Onion" Shackleford in “THE GOOD LORD BIRD”
Malachi Kirby as Darcus Howe in “SMALL AXE”
Aaron Pierre as Caesar Garner in “THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD”
Glynn Turman as Doctor Senato in “FARGO”

AND THE WINNER IS:

AARON PIERRE AS CAESAR GARNER IN "THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD

This is the first win and nomination for Aaron Pierre. He has won for his role as Caesar on The Underground Railroad.

Jenkins has done it again with his casting of Pierre in the role of Caesar. A brilliant turn that was so great that while watching the series I was shocked how little featured he was beyond the first two episodes. It's crazy how incredible he was at the beginning of the series that he made me miss his character so much than when it's later revealed the final fate of Caesar I was physically upset because I was hoping Caesar would be welcomed back. It goes to show how effective a supporting role can be when played correctly. Pierre was so effortless and deserving of this trophy. Similar to Mbedu who won the lead award I look forward just as much to what he is gonna do next.
