OUTSTANDING GUEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES

Alan Alda as Solomon Waltzer for (“Day 457”) in “THE GOOD FIGHT”
Cameron Britton as Edmund Kemper for (“Episode 10”) in “MINDHUNTER”
Joseph Cross as Benjamin Barnwright for (“Episode 5”) in “MINDHUNTER”
Matthew Goode as Tony Armstrong-Jones for (“Matrimonium”) in “THE CROWN”
Peter Mullan as James Delos for (“The Riddle of the Sphinx”) in “WESTWORLD”
Sam Strike as Monte Rissell for (“Episode 4”) in “MINDHUNTER”

AND THE WINNER IS:

CAMERON BRITON AS EDMUND KEMPER FOR (“EPISODE 10”) IN “MINDHUNTER”

This is the first win and nomination for Cameron Britton.

Cameron Britton is one of the those seemingly overnight stars for his breakout performance as real-life serial killer Edmund Kemper. While only featured in three episodes his presence like his height loomed large throughout the entire first season of the Netflix drama. He was quiet and frightening whenever featured on the series and captured my entire attention. He really blew me away in the season finale in his final confrontation with Jonathan Groff’s central character. I do hope that while it seems most who made through the series talk about Britton that his success doesn’t push the creators to overuse him. I do hope he does return but in small amounts like he was in this first season. Bravo to Britton for his captivating work.
