OUTSTANDING MUSIC COMPOSITION FOR A SERIES, MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Nathan Barr for (“START”), The Americans
Mac Quayle for (“The Man Who Would Be Vogue”), The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
Ramin Djawadi for ("The Dragon and the Wolf"), Game of Thrones
Paul Haslinger for ("Who Needs a Guy"), Halt and Catch Fire
Angelo Badalamenti for ("Part 1"), Twin Peaks

AND THE WINNER IS:

ANGELO BADALAMENTI FOR (“PART 1”), TWIN PEAKS

This is the first win and nomination for Angelo Badalamenti.

Twin Peaks win it’s second award with this prize for music composition. The music featured throughout this third season was intoxicating and really pushed my focus towards the show. Especially during moments when I was not sure what narratively was happening. Badalamenti’s work really enhanced everything about the show from an emotional to a production level. The first part especially introduced as well as revisited old themes from the series twenty plus years ago. The new music fit in well to the already established tracks and increased the familiarity I had with the initial series.
