This is the first win and nomination for Cody Fern.
The Murphyverse casts big names in their series but most of the time and smaller names are the actors who deliver the great work. Cody Fern as David Madsen was one such example, an actor who I was not familiar with was completely heartbreaking as the tragic real-life figure. The Andrew Cunanan story was told in reverse so we began by meeting David in his final moments and returning back to when he met Andrew. Cody in his first featured episode was stunning and made an immediate impression on me as an audience member. It helped that is casting was unexpected and his performance of this sweet victim who ended up crossing paths with Andrew was something to behold.
