What makes the ensemble of Women Talking stand out so much is how strong as a group they are together. Each performer is incredible individually but when together in the scenes where they discuss things it is marvellous. There were a lot of incredible ensemble work this year but no film had a more definitive ensemble than that of Women Talking. I'm just so glad to have witnessed both performers I knew and didn't know prior do some incredible things together under the confident direction of Sarah Polley who had a massive hand in the strength of the acting ensemble.

Whether it was the fiercely direct Claire Foy, the sensitive yet strong Rooney Mara or the warm Judith Ivey each of the cast members excelled so beautifully. If there was something I would've wanted from the film more it would be shots with many of the cast members in the same frame. All the cast was incredible and the opportunity to see them acting together in one shot would've been as incredible as the many close up shots the cast are given.
