SCREENPLAY BY AARON SORKIN; BASED ON THE ACCIDENTIAL BILLIONAIRES: THE FOUNDING OF FACEBOOK, A TALE OF SEX, MONEY, GENIUS, AND BETRAYAL BY BEN MEZIRCH, THE SOCIAL NETWORK

This is the first win and nomination for Aaron Sorkin.

The choice for an adapted screenplay winner this year was perhaps the easiest choice i was make throughout the rest of the categories. Not to say the other nominees are bad but Social Network is such an expert screenplay and one of the best I've come across in my lifetime that the win was pretty simple. The adaptation Sorkin did was so great and in collaboration with Fincher spotlights the wonders of the writing.
