JUDY CHIN, MARJORIE DURAND & GEORDIE SHEFFER FOR BLACK SWAN
These are the first wins and nominations for Marjorie Durand & Geordie Sheffer. This is Chin's second win and third nomination, she previously won for Synecdoche New York (2008) and was nominated for Requiem for a Dream (2000).
With Black Swan being set in a the world of performance arts makeup and hairstyling was very likely to be included and whether it's the performance makeup of the ballet towards the end of the film or the horror work which preceds the show it's all excellent work by the team I've highlighted above.
