Last Year’s Winner: Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni for (“Je Ne Sais What?”) in “THE GOOD WIFE”
This is the second win for Allison Janney on her seventh nomination for her work on Masters of Sex.
The first season Showtime show Masters of Sex featured some great dramatic storylines but off all arcs of the season the Schully relationship stood out to me especially in the performances given by Bridges and Janney who wins this category for her performance. In the sixth episode “A Brave New World” Janney shines in every scene she is given especially in her central interview moment where Janney plays the character less outwardly emotive but is able to create some great drama and this is the talent Janney has in her to work so brillantly in every role she is given and this is but another example of her great talent.
