OUTSTANDING CINEMATOGRAPHY FOR A SERIES, MINISERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION

David Franco for (“Farewell Daddy Blues”), Boardwalk Empire

Michael Slovis for (“Ozymandias”), Breaking Bad

Dana Gonzales for (“Burdian’s Ass”), Fargo

James Hawkinson for (“Mizumono”), Hannibal

Adam Arkapaw for (“The Long Bright Dark”), True Detective

AND THE WINNER IS:

JAMES HAWKINSON FOR ("MIZUMONO"), HANNIBAL

Last Year’s Winner: James Hawkinson for (“Coquilles”), Hannibal

This is the second consecutive win for James Hawkinson on his second nomination for his work on Hannibal.

The visual style of Hannibal is by far the most unique and weekly fasinating work that can be seen on television and one of the main people reponsible for this style is the cinmatography of the show in particular the work done by James Hawkinson shooting this beautiful and terrifying finale. The episode builds to the climatic fight of the season and how Hawkinson visuals this scene is horrifc but I have full respect for the look of the show and how unique it is. Another point is the franetic style at which the cinematography is shot and it works so well for this show it wins once again for cinematography.
