This is the second win for Skip MacDonald on his second nomination and first win for Sharidan Sotelo on his first nomination for their work on Breaking Bad.
Breaking Bad is a show that has some brillant editing and between the giants of Skip MacDonald and Kelly Dixon come some genius choices and in the episode Buried co-edited by MacDonald and Sharidan Sotelo beautifully captured what makes the style of the show work so well. Guiding the men was director Michelle MacLaren composing many beautiful shots and these men took what she filmed and placed each moment to build in an episode that was very well constructed showing how editing is a key part of storytelling.
