Last Year’s Winner: Game of Thrones (“And Now His Watch is Ended”)

This is the third win for the sound department of Breaking Bad on it’s sixth nomination.

In it’s final season Breaking Bad had some very impressive sound work especially in the 13th episode “To’hajiilee” where directed by Michelle MacLaren was great sequence after sequence where the sound work was very noticable. Firstly is the last season where the shoot out happens and while we do not see much the sound adds to the tension of the moments. Sound also plays an important part in building tension throughout the episode which is why I found the sound the best of the year as it helped to build upon the plot.
