Last Year’s Winner: Game of Thrones (“And Now His Watch is Ended”)

This is the fourth consecutive win for the visual effects team of Game of Thrones on their fourth nomination.

The visual effects of Game of Thrones just keeps getting better and better and they will continue to win for this reason. In the penultimate episode “The Watchers on the Wall”. This episode was a pure battle episode and some of the great visual shots captured where impressively done by the visual effects team in particular in creating the forces of the wildings beyond the wall with some impressive creations such as the giants and the Wolly Mammoth. The visuals added to the great battle episode which is why once again Game of Thrones wins my visual effects award.
