This is the first win and third nomination for Paul F. Tompkins. He was previously nominated for voicing Bojack Horseman (2016, 2019).
You're the Worst is probably the most underappreciated comedy that I have loved this decade. As a show it began horribly in its first season but as I kept watching it became one of the best things on television. Cut to this final season and this particular turn by Paul F. Tompkins and wow. It was so dark and so funny that I was feeling everything he was asked to do in this final Sunday Funday to end all Sunday Fundays. You just need to watch this episode and this series because it's a great show that I'll keep with me as we go into the new decade of television comedy.
