HANNAH GADSBY FOR HANNAH GADSBY: NANETTE
This is the first win and nomination for Hannah Gadsby.
Hannah Gadsby's Nanette was one of the most important events to air on television last year and as soon as it aired talk of it blew up. As a comedy special you could say it begins and for most of the running time is a traditional special where the comedian stands on stage delivered their set well. However, as everyone knows the last act of this special is where the meat really is where Gadsby beautifully delivers a true talk about her personal experiences relating to the metoo experience and this moment feels completely earned. This special is something I'll always appreciate and respect Gasby for having the confidence to deliver.
