This is the fourth win and eighth nomination for Jeff Richmond for his writing of the song “Peeno Noir” from Unbreakably Kimmg Schmidt Season 1. He previously won for producing 30 Rock (2007, 2009) and writing “Rural Juror”, 30 Rock (2013). He was  previously nominated for producing 30 Rock (2008, 2011-2013) and writing the main titles theme music for 30 Rock (2007).

When it came to popular internet moments never in recent years has an original song on television hit like “Peeno Noir” did. The song is just pure fun and really is strong because of it’s lyrics. Jeff Richmond has always been responsible for some brillant music choices on Tina Fey’s previous comedy series and with Unbreakable Kimnmy Schmidt he has yet again created a great show for it’s music just as much for it’s comedy. The song sung by breakout character Titus Andromedon acts as a commentary on this character were the first thing that comes to his mind is what he explodes out with which is why this song was the funniest and best songs to be written for television in recent years.
