I don't usually award directors or writers in this category and focus entirely on the acting debuts for the year. Thankfully when it comes to my winning choice Radha she was both the star and creator of her film debut. I must begin by saying if you've not seen The Forty-Year-Old Version stop what you are doing load up Netflix and check out this stellar film. It's incredible to see how unique a film voice Blank has as both performer and creator. Thankfully Netflix has given her a platform for people to see her work and honestly I only hope for more great cinema from Blank to come whether she's in front of or behind the camera.
