GABRIEL RHODES FOR TIME
This is the first win and nomination for Gabriel Rhodes.
Time (2020) is a documentary which features a lot of archival footage and the craft of editing has to be one of the most difficult aspects to nail due to the hours of footage. Rhodes in collaboration with everyone else on the film made such an excellent film that I struggle for the words to praise it. The editing is especially excellent in the film as it manages to feel full even at a small runtime of 80 minutes. Having seen a couple of docs Rhodes has edited it's clear he's one of the best and Time has turned out to be his best production to this date.
