These are the first wins for Donald Graham & Jan Pascale. Graham was previously nominated for designing Zodiac (2007).

I don't have much to say positively about the film Mank as I wasn't a major fan of the film watching in on Netflix late last year. However I can say the money was well spent on the film and many of its production elements were incredible. The sets were especially great to behold as the designers creatively crafted period specific sets for the film whether it be the extravagant Hurst household, the large scale film sets or the studios of classic cinema. The set designs were stunning to watch and sort've brought me through watching the film as I could appreciate distinct elements rather than the entire product of the film
