This is the first win for the ensemble of Orange is the New Black on their first nomination.

Once the netflix breakout hit started airing it was clear that while the show centers around Piper Chapman that there was such a strong cast of characters that the show around these characters is one of the best ensembles to come in years. The many characters on the show are so different and new and in many combinations of characters creates some great combinations for the show. Tastyee, Crazy Eyes, Sophia and Red are just some of the great characters created for this large ensemble in the first season and al together they work in genius ways and in the end the show centers around not just Piper but the women in the prison and continues to be such a strong ensemble.
