Robin Wright as Claire Underwood for (“Chapter 17”) in “HOUSE OF CARDS”

AND THE WINNER IS:

ELISABETH MOSS AS PEGGY OLSON FOR ("WATERLOOK") IN "MAD MEN"

Last Year’s Winner: Tatiana Maslany as Sarah Manning/Alison Hendrix/Cosima Niehaus/Helena for (“Unconscious Selection”) in “OPRHAN BLACK”

This is the third win for Elisabeth Moss on her seventh nomination for her work on Mad Men.

Once again the character of Peggy Olsen continues to grow and grow and the performance given by Elisabeth Moss this season was some of her best work on the series. The character experinced many emotions throughout the seven episodes whether it was her relationship with the young boy who lives in her building, her rocky relationship season long with Don or her ending the season accomplished with her pitch to Burgerboss. Elisabeth Moss has made this role her own which is why the role works so well and Peggy is made the more relatable by her performance as she can get great drama and comedy from the character. Many may argue that Moss is not giving a lead performance but personally along with Don the journey of Mad Men has been about Peggy Olsen.
