Nic Pizzolatto for (“The Locked Room”), True Detective

AND THE WINNER IS:

MOIRA WALLEY-BECKETT FOR ("OZYMANDIAS"), BREAKING BAD

Last Year’s Winner: Carly Wray and Matthew Weiner for (“In Care Of”), Mad Men

This the first win for Moira Walley-Beckett on her first nomination for her work on Breaking Bad.

Ozymandias truly is one of the greatest episodes of television and one of the key parts that makes the episode work is the writing by Moira Walley-Beckett. The episode opens with a stellar and tense 20 minutes to the episode and as the episode moves the story gets more and more dramatic and the writing by Walley-Beckett makes the episode even more powerful. Another example of the great writing of the episode is how much history is built into each moment that happens where we are devastated by all the horrible events that happen and it really is quite an impressive piece of work done by Moira Beckett-Walley.
