OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Louis C.K. as Louie for (“Pamela 3”) in “LOUIE”

Andy Daly as Forrest MacNeil for (“Pancakes; Divorce; Pancakes”) in “REVIEW”

Jonathan Groff as Patrick Murray for (“Looking for the Future”) in “LOOKING”

Thomas Middleditch as Richard Hendriks for (“The Cap Table”) in “SILICON VALLEY”

Chris O’Dowd as Tom Chadwick for (“Civil War”) in “FAMILY TREE”

Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt for (“The Cones of Dunshire”) in “PARKS AND RECREATION”

AND THE WINNER IS:

CHRIS O'DOWD AS TOM CHADWICK FOR ("CIIVIL WAR") IN "FAMILY TREE"

Last Year’s Winner: Jake Johnson as Nick for (“Models”) in “NEW GIRL”

This is the first win for Chris O’Dowd on his first nomination for his work on Family Tree.

HBO lately has had many one season comedies but having Christopher Guest run a series should have lasted for years and with Family Tree I feel he created a show very underrated and brillant in the central role is Chris O’Dowd. O’Dowd is a great modern comedic force and in the show while he was never given a pure script as is the course of Guest comedy he was spectacular as both the straight and wild comedy actor and for this short lived series O’Dowd gave the best leading male in a comedy series performance.
