This is the first win and nomination for Schitt's Creek in this category. For it's final season Schitt's Creek has received sixteen nominations winning nine of them. The show won for Series, Ensemble, Leading Actor (Levy), Leading Actress (O'Hara), Supporting Actor (Levy), Supporting Actress (Murphy), Guest Actor (Miligan), Writing ("Happy Ending") & Makeup. The show also nominated for Supporting Actor (Reid), Supporting Actress (Hampshire), Guest Actor (Garber), Directing ("Happy Ending"), Writing ("The Presidential Suite"), Costume Design & Hairstyling.

As a person who has been watching SC live since it's first season premiered I am so happy how far the show has come to be beloved by many. Why I hadn't always rewarded the show I do not know because I've always loved the show. It winning for the final season feels correct because it really is one of the best comedy series to have aired during the 2010's decade. It features wonderful characters, laugh riot comedy and during the second half of seasons a strong heart that many times led me to cry with joy for the good things that happened to everyone in this little unknown town. I feel sometimes a TV show can sort've carry itself badly to it's final season but the quality of SC never stopped which is why it's the rare final season that I am awarding my top prize in comedy.
