OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES

Brian Cox as Logan Roy for ("Hunting") in "SUCCESSION"
Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford for ("Episode 1") in "MINDHUNTER"
Holt McCallany as Bill Tench for ("Episode 5") in "MINDHUNTER"
Bob Odenkirk as James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill for ("JMM") in "BETTER CALL SAUL"
Billy Porter as Pray Tell for ("Love's In Need Of Love Today") in "POSE"
Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy for ("Dundee") in "SUCCESSION"

AND THE WINNER IS:

BILLY PORTER AS PRAY TELL FOR ("LOVE'S IN NEED OF LOVE TODAY") IN "POSE"

This is the third win and nomination for Billy Porter. He won last year individually and as part of the ensemble of Pose.

The appeal of Billy Porter is not lost on me and honestly the separation from his work in the second season a lot of people have taken is something I do not understand. During the season his work was arguably stronger than in the first season and I was eating it all up. During the episode I've highlighted for him we again find Pray Tell in the hospital like he was during the first season. He is spectacular on the show whether it's breaking me down emotionally or cracking up with his perfectly delivered reads.
