OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES

Awkwafina as Nora for ("Savage Valley") in "AWKWAFINA IS NORA FROM QUEENS"
Linda Cardellini as Judy Hale for ("Between You and Me") in "DEAD TO ME"
Elle Fanning as Catherine the Great for ("The Great") in "THE GREAT"
Justina Machado as Penelope Alvarez for ("Boundaries") in "ONE DAY AT A TIME"
Catherine O'Hara as Moira Rose for ("The Premiere") in "SCHITT'S CREEK"
Issa Rae as Issa Dee for ("Lowkey Movin’ On") in "INSECURE"

AND THE WINNER IS:

CATHERINE O'HARA AS MOIRA ROSE FOR ("THE PREMIERE") IN "SCHITT'S CREEK"

This is the third win and fifth nomination for Catherine O'Hara. She was previously nominated for Six Feet Under (2003) & Temple Grandin (2010). She won individually and with the ensemble of Schitt's Creek (2019).

Moira Rose will go down in history as one of the greatest television character creations and awarding O'Hara for iconic work is the only right choice. There are just no many comedy moments to suggest why she's best but especially in this movie premiere episode when the Crows attack her trying to communicate with the birds as well as cowering in fear is some of the funniest things I've had the pleasure to watch. O'Hara could never do  anything again and I'd get years of pleasure of rewatcing her work on the show.
