AND THE WINNER IS:
ANGELICA ROSS AS CANDY JOHNSON-FEROCITY FOR ("NEVER KNEW LOVE LIKE THIS BEFORE"), POSE
This is the second win and nomination for Angelica Ross. She previously won as a member of the ensemble of Pose (2019).
It's been over a year and I still return to above clip and instantly cry. Ross as Candy in the first season was always great but when the second season came in the fourth episode due to the choice to end the character Ross was afforded a great opportunity to blow us all away. She was spectacular in this episode from the minute it begun and many times throughout due to Ross I was in a puddle of tears. I knew from the moment the episode ended no other actress would beat her in either category I would've nominated her in. I do hope even with Candy departed the show can bring her back because I will miss the spirit that was Ross playing Candy.
