OUTSTANDING CINEMATOGRAPHY

Manuel Alberto Claro for Melancholio

Bradford Young for Pariah

Sean Bobbitt for Shame

Emmanuel Lubezki for The Tree of Life

Hoyte Van Hoytema for Tinker Tailor Solider Spy

AND THE WINNER IS…..

EMMANUEL LUBEZKI FOR THE TREE OF LIFE

Last Year’s Winner: Matthew Lipatique for Black Swan

When the set is chosen it would be time to choose the look and feel of the film. The winner this year is a previous winner of my cinematography award and he is a multiple oscar nominee. The runner up for the cinematography award this year was “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy“, the look of this film fits well with the setting of the film because it is meant to be set during the cold war which is a draby time period.

And the winner is Emmanuel Lubezki for his beautiful work “The Tree of Life“, he did so well with all of moving shots of the past and the and the present time, he really made it beautiful mixed with the music and that’s why he won.
