AND THE WINNER IS…..

MARK COULIER & J. ROY HELLAND FOR THE IRON LADY

Last Year’s Winner: Judy Chin, Marjorie Durand & Geordie Sheffer for Black Swan

The next essential part of filmmaking is makeup wether prosthetic or just a simple makeup job to make a leading lady pretty. The winners of the award this year are both first time winners and they won the oscar for their fabulous work. The runner up in this category is “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2“, the makeup done in this may have been seeing the past films but new makeup tricks made it stand out even better.

And finally the winner may not be a big money making special effects makeup but it is fantastic transformatic makeup, and that is in “The Iron Lady“, yes I choose the work done in this film as the best because it truly made it’s star Meryl Streep look like what you would imagine Thatcher to look like in her later years as well as recreated past looks of Thatcher.

P.S. The award for best supporting actress will be presented later.
