OUTSTANDING COSTUME DESIGN

Denise Cronenberg for A Dangerous Method

Sharon Davis for The Help

Sandy Powell for Hugo

Michael O’Connor for Jane Eyre

Jacqueline Durran for Tinker Tailor Solider Spy

AND THE WINNER IS…..

SANDY POWELL FOR HUGO

Last Year’s Winner: Amy Westcott for Black Swan

The next part of the film that must come is the costumes of the characters for the actors to wear. The winner of the category has won my award for costumes before and she (yes it’s a women designer), she has won three oscars but not for her work on this film. The runner up in this category is the period pieces of “Anonymous“, the costumes by Lisy Christl belong in a museum how to do period pieces for the time period of the royals.

But the eventually winner is Sandy Powell for her gorgeous work on the Scorsese film “Hugo“, like the runner up they are period pieces set in a time when films were first starting out, they compile costumes from past films as well as having pieces people of paris in that time period wore.
